Rick Perry's "Yee-Haw!" moment...
Remember how Howard Dean's campaign was destroyed by his exuberant "Yee-Haw" yell after one of the primaries? The media were successful in portraying him as somehow unhinged and not ready for the presidency because of that yell.

Now they are doing pretty much the same thing with Rick Perry. Not that I care, because I think Perry was probably the strongest opponent for Obama? Republicans just can't help themselves for liking cowboys and slow, arrogant drawls. Rick Perry was made to order.

From Josh Marshall:

The most crucial moment so far was in Perry’s last debate, where he lashed out at critics of his immigration policies with some surprisingly tough rhetoric.

1. Accusing a Republican of being heartless isn't an insult
It's a badge of honor for them.

2. Is the Perry campaign spiraling out of control because he's an extremist moron, or
because he actually showed some compassion when talking about the plight illegal immigrants to this country and their desire for an education?

I think we all know the answer to that one.
