Decorah Eagles Return
Now for some good news for a change - the parent Eagles in Decorah, Iowa, have returned to the nest and are busy rebuilding, prior to mating and egg-laying.

Here's a link to the video for 27th September, which is the latest up there to date:

Here is also a link to the Ustream page, with a wonderful photo of DI (aka E2?), currently in Wisconsin. This is the female eaglet that was tagged and fitted with a transmitter. She really is a beauty!

Bang goes my spare time – I know I'll find myself once more glued to the nestcam.

1. I watched them from the time they hatched until they were
teenagers and then lost track of them. What happened to the babies? Are they able to follow up on them, other than the one that was tagged?

2. They've lost track of the two that weren't fitted with transmitters.
But they are tracking D1, who also has a transmitter attached to her back. I don't know whether the other two follow a similar flight pattern, but they're definitely not together.

3. Thank you, I feel a little sad that they off on their own but
so glad they made it. It is one of the most fascinating things to watch, so thanks for the info and I will definitely watch the parents getting ready for their new family.
