Taking a Bush Secret to the Grave
http://consortiumnews.com/2011/09/27/taking-a-bush-secret-to-the-grave/

September 27, 2011

Special Report: The National Archives has approved an appeal by journalist Robert Parry seeking release of a 30-year-old secret, the address where George H.W. Bush supposedly went on an October weekend in 1980 — when several witnesses put Bush in Paris meeting with Iranians. But it turns out the “alibi witness” is now dead.

By Robert Parry

A three-decade-old mystery has finally been solved – who was George H.W. Bush’s unidentified “alibi witness” on Oct. 19, 1980, when other witnesses allege the then-Republican vice presidential candidate took a secret flight to Paris for meetings with Iranians – but the mystery’s answer only raises new questions.

After 20 years of rejecting requests from various investigators for the identity of the “alibi witness,” the U.S. government finally released enough information from Secret Service files – in response to an appeal that I filed with the National Archives – to ascertain the person’s identity.

The person who perhaps could have verified where Bush was or wasn’t on that day was Richard A. Moore, a Bush family friend best known for his role in the Watergate scandal as a special counsel to President Richard Nixon. In 1973, Moore was Nixon’s point man in attacking the credibility of fired White House counsel John Dean ...

1. He also doesn't remember where he was on Nov. 22, 1963. Do
know of another human being in this country that doesn't know where they were on that date? Turns out Barbara Bush and Georgie were in Dallas. hmmmmmmm I've always wondered why no one has asked Barbara where her husband was on that date.

THE book of BFEE is Russ Baker's "Family of Secrets: The Bush Dynasty, The invisible Government and the Hidden History of the Last 50 Years". Truly a must read, well-documented , not a nutty book:

6. Barbara, I thought, gave an account of their whereabouts in a book.
I'm not saying her account is accurate, necessarily, but she gave it. Poppy gave an accounting as well. Again, I make no assertions WRT their "truthiness" or accuracy....simply pointing out that the two of them did give out details of their day at that time.

Given Poppy's affiliation with a certain three letter agency, and reports from another three letter agency about reports he made ahead of time about principals associated with that killing in Dallas, it's difficult for even the conspiracy-adverse to wave off a feeling of dreadful suspicion about the whole business.

I only hope I live long enough to learn the truth. It's something that I have wondered about off and on over the years. I was overseas when it happened, way before the 24 Hour News Cycle, without a television, so my perspective of those days is very different from that of many Americans who were glued to their TVs watching Cronkite. We made do with magazines, the radio, and newspapers, and occasional snippets of television at the homes of friends. I will say I did get the impression that all of Europe was in deep mourning.

I have seen some of the US TV coverage that took place during that time in retrospective documentaries and the history channel, etc., and I've seen a lot of the "theories" stuff as well, but I still don't have a clear idea of what really happened.

I still wonder!

9. Bush is a liar, and had a hand in killing Kennedy.

The coup and overthrow of this nation began when Kennedy was assassinated.

14. Well, that GHW Bush was a CIA asset of some sort
is not much open to dispute. James Douglass, in "JFK and the Unspeakable" draws a meticulously straight line from the CIA to JFK's assassination and offers several mountains of painstakingly documented evidence in support of his conclusions. I wouldn't be surprised in the least of GHW knew something significant about it.

11. Wasn't he having dinner or lunch with John Hinckley's parents
Edited on Wed Sep-28-11 04:52 AM by lunatica
Sometime around the time Hinckley shot Reagan?

Please correct me if I'm wrong. But if it's true doesn't it seem Poppy Bush just happened to have a lot of coincidences around Presidential assassinations and assassination attempts? aren't the chances of two incidences of such coincidences happening astronomical?
