Parallels: Tahrir Square/Zuccotti Park
Egyptian soldiers clashed Monday with protesters encamped in Tahrir Square, tearing down tents the activists have used to stage a weeks-long sit in.

Another challenge for the group has been the mass arrests and police brutality by the New York Police Department.

Egyptian state-controlled TV reported that the protestors were basically terrorists. Our media is ignoring it altogether (except for the Guardian UK and Al Jazeera--if anyone payed attention to Tahrir Square, those were the 2 major news outlets covering Tahrir).

I'm not saying that Occupy Wall Street is at the level of Tahrir Square but there are frightening parallels.
