Is the GOP the Humpty Dumpty Party?

When they brought the Tea Party into the fold, they chose to all fall off the wall together. They have broken into several parts.

They had a chance with Rick Perry but they all ganged up on him to destroy his chances. That's good for the Democrats but bad for the GOP. They have adopted a purity test that makes it impossible to pick a consensus candidate. In normal times, Mitt Romney would already have been chosen.

None of the nine candidates now running are satisfactory. They are looking for someone else. The media is attempting to tell them that Chris Christie is the answer. These vultures would eat him alive. And it would be a fulfilling meal.

The Democrats are an unhappy Party but they are nowhere near as divided as the Republicans. We know who our candidate is going to be, whether we like it or not. The Republicans are so divided, they cannot choose anyone to lead them, thanks to their beloved Tea Party.

As Democrats, we should put aside our differences for just a little while, so we can all enjoy the disastrous saga taking place in the Republican Party. It is truly entertaining. :-)

..on the edge of disaster. I just hope it doesn't end like this. They like Chris Christie 'cause he's hard-boiled.

And they recently won NY 9 and that Nevada seat. You are whistling past the graveyard.

3. Perhaps but...

those were congressional races, not presidential races. There is a difference. Personally, I think we should concentrate more on taking back the House and the presidential race will take care of itself.

However, we should still enjoy the moment, in my opinion.

4. A brief transient moment.

Conflict among different contestants is to be expected. Remember our own conflict between Clinton and Obama. After the nomination they will kiss and make up. During a Presidential election the top of the ticket drives the election.

And remember that Obama's ratings are low.
