(Supreme Court of the United States)...who appoints the NEXT S C Justice? Obama or...?

The FIRST MOST IMPORTANT REASON................

I'm sure there are a hundred MOST IMPORTANT concerns.........

1. Actually, when you consider the entire scope of duties of a POTUS
and the potential impact of everything one can do, I think that appointing justices of the SC and judges to the federal bench probably is the single most significant duty of the POTUS in terms of its impact on our society. The Supreme Court, not the legislative nor the executive branch, for all practical purposes is the ultimate power in our system, since its decisions are almost always final.

2. In the long run, historically speaking, we have at least 2 of the 3 branches that..

changed history, Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, and Brown v Board of Education..........two most world-changing decisions that come to mind...........but there's probably 1,000 others I have forgotten, unions' organizing rights, something to do with the New Deal, something about the Monroe Doctrine, Roe v Wade, etc. etc.


Tell me what Congress has ever done that changed the world!

Who needs Congress?

3. I guess it's really TOO TOO early to think about November next year...
what will be important then... like we didn't think Japan would hold any importance for us in 2011....

How wrong we were!
