Progressive Websites apparently being hacked!
I have tried to get on 2 progressive websites today and they had been taken down by hackers. I have also noticed comments on other progressive websites that seem like they could have been made by paid bloggers. This is getting VERY scary people.

1. or perhaps they are having problems due to something else
you know nothing of why they are not accessible unless you ARE or are in communication with the admins (or took them down yourself).

Posts like yours are scary...

3. Really? Where are the links, so we can go see for ourselves?
What sites? Please be specific. Your general comments aren't of much help with anything.

8. That's one.
TPM, MoveOn, Kos and DU are all ok.

I don't think one site is an epidemic.

9. Thanks - yes it was Politics USA
I saw a link to another site this AM RE: Scott Walker that had taken down by the same hacker. Sorry I can't find the link now. But thanks for the explanation. And yes, in this climate when I know that there is a virtual news blackout of a major event then yes I do get paranoid. Being somewhat paranoid doesn't always mean you are wrong.

10. Script kiddies
(I'm not that up on hacking, but I listened to an NPR segment yesterday on the definition of hacking--real hackers frown on this kind of cheap imitation use of scripts to attack computer systems. Anonymous seems to be comprised largely of script kiddies.)

But hey, I thought so many here think hacking is cool.
