One of their main messages would appeal to many hundreds of million of viewers: That the wealthiest 1% of Americans own 40% of this country’s wealth and that the other 99% of fighting for the scraps.”

26. How much is that?

If the wealthiest 1% have $13 trillion in assets (which I get from google here http://blog.freshjive.com/2011/09/wealth-in-america-separate-unequal/, then the rest of us are fighting over $19.5 trillion. That is about 65,000 in wealth per person. Or 260,000 for a family of four. Or about $150,000 per household.

That's seems like plenty to me, if we just divided that equally. Throwing the wealh of the top 1% into the pot only about doubles it to $300,000.

The trouble is not just with the top 1%. What about the next 4%? They probably have a huge share of "scraps" themselves.

Ultimately, so do I. I am in the top 50% when it comes to wealth. But why pick on wealth? After all, I have my wealth because of planning that I did, work I did, sacrifices I made, and probably some luck too. I got my wealth by saving out of the income I have made through the years, and I have not made all that much income.

They dispatch minions to discourage folks so they do not vote as well.

I believe the discontent and rage has reached such a level that propaganda and Jedi mind tricks are going to no longer work.
