CANTON — A judge increased bond to $2 million Friday for two camouflage-clad men found one night this week in a vehicle parked on property they don’t own.

Municipal Court Judge Stephen Belden said he had concerns after learning the land where the men were discovered — along Harmont Avenue NE in Plain Township — is owned by federal Judge Sara Lioi.

“Somebody shows up on a judge’s property dressed in camouflage with weapons ... it gets my attention,” Belden said.

Randall C. Edwards, 55, of 6646 Amsel Ave. NE in Canton, and Zachary R. Edwards, 26, of 346 Beech St. in Alliance, were arrested at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

4. I didn't say anything about night.
Though I probably know someone that goes hunting at night.

What else was in the article?

From what you posted, it sounded like some people were held via $2,000,000 for trespassing.

11. The two men already have prior convictions that made it illegal for them to have a weapon
That bond *could* be lowered.
Bet it won't
If I were a judge at the bond hearing, I would want those creeps in the lockup.

10. Two assailants stalked and shot a judge in my neighborhood
Thirty years later, the judge still has a lead projectile in his chest cavity. Police f--ked the investigation and they were never apprehended.

18. Yeesh, ok, what I gather
is a couple of yahoos.. drunk or stoned..
The latest charge filed — having weapons while under disability — is a third-degree felony that can bring up to five years in prison with a conviction.
were looking to rip off someone's patch
the father and son told deputies they planned to enter a nearby cornfield, where they had smelled marijuana growing. and parked close enough to get there.
Inside the vehicle — which was parked under some trees

I missed any connection between the land where the men were discovered — along Harmont Avenue NE in Plain Township — is owned by federal Judge Sara Lioi. and it being her residence. If it was not land her house is on, if it doesn't back up to her homestead... it should have fuck-all bearing on the matter.

Do they have a connection to Judge Lioi? Have they been before her? They sure as heck has been before someone... Both men have prior convictions that made it illegal for them to have a weapon, according to court records.

Every other charge, cool, got no problem with it. Jacking up the bail cause they made the mistake of stepping on dirt owned by Sara the judge, rather that by Billy the baker, or Sam the brick mason, especially if there is no physical connection to that dirt... stinks.
