If Elizabeth Warren runs for the White House in 2016...
You can count me in as a supporter.

However, I want to see her kick Scott Brown's ass first.

6. This should happen whether heading the ticket or as VP for Governor Feingold...
... after he's been Wisconsin governor for five years taking over for Scott Walker.

One way or another, I'd like to see her on the ticket! Yes!

I trust you are not referring to me. I'm a liberal progressive person who can't stand DINOs, I'm not an "Obama basher".

16. kinda depends
Will she honor Rick Warren at her inauguration?
Will she keep on GWB's sec Def?
Will she choose Rahm as here CoS?

Obama earned his criticism. She earn some of her own. It may come from Blue Dogs who object to her pushing them to the left.

17. "Obama earned his criticism."
>Posts three trivialities.

Warren has been overwhelmingly supportive of the Obama administration. No doubt the hate of Warren will be as dishonest and superficial as the current hate.

Of course she supports the Obama Administration. It's the only game in town, flawed as it is

to head the treasury and safe guard the economy for regular Americans?

...but still gets tarred as a Wall Street Guy, I feel safe betting that people will call whomever Warren appoints something similar.

31. Since the advent of the telephone and the internet
you don't have to have an office on Wall St itself to be working on its behalf. Warren wouldn't appoint a stiff and you can take that to the bank.

Which includes putting Warren there.

8. She'd be the 2nd oldest person elected...
...since she would be 67 in 2016.

I'm not sure if that would be a good thing, considering all the stress that goes with the office.

I've been a fan of hers ever since she appeared in a lot of PBS shows on various topics - I'd hate for her to be destroyed by all the pressure.

11. For a woman, that's not old. We outlive males most of the
time. She may not want it because of wanting a rest, but if she does want it, she'd be fine. Ronnie was fucking addled and he was re-elected.

21. I didn't realize she was 62.
She comes across (to me) as about 10 years younger.
Anyway, I think all this talk about her presidential prospects is a bit premature. I doubt she is even considering that at this point in time.

Having said that, she'd be on my short list of preferred candidates in 2016, should she decide to run (assuming she wins the Senate seat in 2012).

I was thinking of Ron Paul, who is polling third place. I didn't know Newtie was that old.

24. She first needs to wade through a primary field that includes another WARREN
Setti--who isn't unpopular in some circles. There will be debates.

I hope she does well. MA is long overdue for female representation in the Senate, and she is an exceptional talent.

Also, she does, like Obama, have "just enough" record to be a strong candidate for the seat, and in four years will have "just enough" record (but not too much) to run for the top slot.

Edited on Fri Sep-23-11 01:19 PM by Mass
We need a senator that cares about MA and is there for at least one term.

Actually, if this became a meme. you could be sure that Brown would use that at his advantage.

This said, she needs to win the primary first and why she is the most well-known, we have a bunch of other good progressive candidates.
