How do I find out shareholder info on a Corp?
So I am digging around looking at the connections between our new city mgr and the resorts he is going to sell our town off to...

I have a few leads, and have done some searching on the SEC site.

But is there an easy way to find out who has a share of a company?

1. First, try the google
w the company's name/bio, etc. Learn if its publicly or privately held, broad or narrow ownership.

I don't have a good answer for you, but I'd start there. Easy way? Probably not.

3. Yahoo finance
http://finance.yahoo.com is a good place to start.

Bar at the left has an ownership section and that will get you the major ownership positions.

4. You aren't likely to find the name of a particular individual....
unless that person holds a significant stake, say 10% of the outstanding shares.

If you owned 50 shares of 3MMM, for instance, there is no way in the world the average person could discover that.
