There were no fingerprints on the murder weapon tying Davis to the gun, no video footage, no forensic evidence. Even the ballistics evidence was less than satisfactory. We should promote justice and be a leader in the world, yes. And we can't do that if we execute innocent people. But we shouldn't do it because we're insecure and we need Europe to think we're cool and progressive, which is the vibe I get around here a lot. It's very trendy to point out America's many flaws in Europe, but as someone who lived in the UK, trust me, they have many of their own problems and aren't in much of a position to point fingers at anyone. No one besides Scandinavia is, really.
