5. Don't know the man and started to tear up thinking this man just may have been innocent.
Such a damn disgrace. IMO nothing will change until destruction occurs. Riots, revolutions, whatever. Violence is the only thing this damn country knows anything about.

6. Troy gives me strength and hope. Hope from his greatness.
He gave us a task. He handed us a torch to bear. He did not die in vain.

We must change the balance of the US Supreme court. We must make the cowards cower. They are running the dialogue. They are running the nation. Into the ground.

I want bigger discussions. I want a civilized nation. I want strong educated people.

I don't expect much. But I know what I want. America is not a beacon of light. What will it take for this nation to join the civilized world? I honestly think there is a vast majority of Americans whose voices are not heard. Who are good. We've been hijacked.

7. Damn them to hell. MURDERERS
We should find out their names and addresses and follow them and their families around screaming at them that they are murderers. Never let them live it down that they put an innocent man to death.

8. Trying to put myself in the Mcphail family shoes....
on the one hand, I'm feeling like justice was served on the person who killed my brother/son/uncle tonight. I've been convinced with unwavering certainty for 20 years that this man is guilty....but I have this small nagging thought - why wouldn't he come clean and confess at a moment when there was no longer a reason to keep up the charade of innocence? So, there is no real closure and no moving on because there is no confession to perpetrating this henious crime. Maybe tonight I'm feeling resolution, but will I still be feeling this sense of justice served a week or year from now? Or will I always have to live with moments of doubt that eats at my conscience? And how am I going to feel if they do find exculpatory evidence in the months or years to come that vindicates Davis? I've been a victim once...now I'm something a little different - I'm party to the event that murdered an innocent man.

----

I really doubt that Troy Davis's execution is going to make this family whole again. The years of frustration trying to see justice served will now be replaced with a new frustration that the execution does not make things right again.

9. If I was the family I wouldn't want an innocent person to be put to death
because the police couldn't convict the right person.
