Thank You, Tony Bennett
By Michael Moore

Thank God for Tony Bennett. He spoke the truth on Howard Stern and now the forces of hate are after him. He said that his fighting in World War II made him a pacifist. He said that perhaps had our behavior in the Persian Gulf been different, 9/11 might have been avoided. And he told Howard something George W. Bush told him privately at the Kennedy Center Honors: "I may have made a mistake (invading Iraq)." Here's the interview on Stern. Thank you, Tony Bennett. Always a hero to me.

2. No shit...Tony Bennett is a pacifist? How cool!!!
His voice just became a bit sweeter, if that's possible.

8. Many of the GG are.
You've got to see it at its worst to realize you aren't for it.

5. So sorry it was Stern.
Couldn't Michael thank Tony for doing that on 60 Minutes?
I guess I'll settle for The King of All Media.

7. Michael missed where he backtracked on The View and Facebook, I guess.
He was making the rounds to sell records, and got pulled into a political conversation on Stern.

He's eighty four. He doesn't need the pulling and tugging. It makes for good theater and cheerleading, but I don't think it's good for him at his stage in life.

He seemed off his game on The View. He read an apology and seemed 'not quite right.' Voice was not up to his usual par when he sang a live duet of a song that wasn't too much of a stretch for him, normally (Blue Velvet). KD Laing had to do the heavy lifting.

11. I watched him read his statement yesterday morning.
He was not himself. Subdued, uncertain.

I think he got pulled into a political convo on Stern, when all he was there to do was sell music.

10. Props to Tony. Anyone who has ever been in war has a completely
different view from chickenhawks like Bush and Cheney who caused the illegal and unnecessary Iraq War.
