...Last I heard, he was just pining for potential Democratic leaders to step up and give Obama a primary challenge, probably because he believes Obama hasn't been sufficiently progressive/hasn't fought strong enough for progressive interests. It doesn't seem to contradict his long-standing beliefs on the two-party system. If anything, it kind of buttresses them, doesn't it? He's saying Obama is too much of the same.

4. Because he and any party he was affiliated with had to spend buckets of money
to fight off ballot access challenges from the Democratic Party. Even though the majority (if not all) of those challenges were dismissed, too much money was being diverted from campaigning to legal fees.
