2. Absolutely. Apathy. Lack of empathy. Selfishness.
Like I just posted on another thread, when Troy Davis is dead we will still not know who killed the police officer. And we won't stop asking. Nothing is being served by this, least of all justice.

5. Nothing will be served...
... except the getting-away-scott-free of the person who actually did it. This case will be closed forever once Troy Davis is dead.

4. A feeling that the sense of justice in us all has been violated.
And we can't do a damn thing to stop it.

9. I know exactly how you feel. I hate the sense of shame most of all...
except for knowing there is NOTHING I can do about it.

14. Premature on the stay-
They've given him a temporary reprieve while the Supreme Court thinks it over.

11. Feeling very sad, too
I was eating dinner with my sons and we were watching CNN and discussing the whole situation. I kept crying. It's just so wrong. I think my younger son (13) may be interested in working with the Innocence Project in the future.

15. Justice fails sometimes, and this is one of those times. It isn't fair and isn't good.

18. The OP should've have done what you did.
Just two words:

Troy Davis

That helps a great deal when folks do that.
