you can't make this stuff up / Tea baggers form own “super committee”, will meet at Denny’s

FreedomWorks is holding a meeting… at Denny’s. What, no corporate board rooms were available? I guess they wanted to set the mood for a Grand Slam:

Washington (CNN) – As the congressional “super committee” works in Washington to cut America’s federal debt, a panel of tea party activists will meet at a Denny’s restaurant in Orlando to propose their own debt solutions.

FreedomWorks put out a statement:

FreedomWorks believes that President Obama’s ‘super-committee’ will inevitably fall prey to special interest groups, shutting American taxpayers out of the discussion on how to reduce spending and balance the budget…

3. "Freedomworks believes" are the 2 scariest words I know.
Does Denny's still have the 'Superbird'? Used to be my favorite sandwich. That would go with their 'super committee' of 'super morons'.

5. Tuesday, 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
They seem to be aiming at retirees and the unemployed. Interesting tactic.

Those two groups should be their natural enemies, so they work to co-opt them.

And how much coverage will they get for the Denny's Summit?
Compare and contrast, class, the level and tone of coverage between the Days of Rage on Wall Street and the Denny's Summit.

7. Shouldn't they explain who Freedomworks is?
"Freedomworks, run by Republican operatives and funded by the Koch Brothers, believes ....." Perhaps that would help the reader understand who really is pulling the tea party strings and put the story in context. Misinforming by omission of important details as to what this operation is all about.

And what makes these people in Orlando so special that they get to speak for 350MM other Americans? Millions of people go to Denny's every day for a cheap breakfast and most offer up their opinions on fixing the government without this kind of PR release.
