Why Don't I Hear The Pundits Say This?
The US military is funded by tax dollars. I agree with the late MGEN Butler that war is a racket. Corporations use the US military to seize and protect resources that they need. Shouldn't these same corporations contribute to the maintenance of the military by paying for it in fair taxes? The majority of those serving are from the lower and middle income brackets and have trouble affording those things that they serve to protect while corporations speculate on oil and food as a commodities. The least that they can do is fund those who are sent to do the dying and killing for them. I would like to see one popular pundit bring up this point because it is so damn obvious.

1. Because you can't get past the first point
You are spot on this relationship but you will never hear a pundit say that the US military is used to seize and protect resources. They can only say the the military is here to "protect our freedoms"- anything else is doom for them.
