I want to know why it will be good for me if banks continue to operate with impunity and no oversight while gambling away my savings on weird instruments dreamt up by physics majors who used to go into rocket science when they got out of college.

I want the Republican's magic formula for reducing the national debt while lowering taxes on the rich and not paying for their $5 trillion wars. How does that work again?

I want to know how exactly we are going to compete with China and Europe while we cut back on education and science so that the rest of the US population can become as ignorant as its creationist politicians running for president.

I want to know how exactly we will carry the American Dream forward by leaving it all to Jesus and guns."

I wonder when the multi-millionaires on teevee will ever pose any of these questions to Republican candidates and insist on an answer? It really and truly isn't that tough to think up these questions, but it's apparently beyond the ability of Brian and Diane and the rest of them (Who's even on CBS these days?) to formulate such an elementary query that gets behind the sound bite and pokes into the substance of what passes for our political discourse nowadays.

Everyone should not only read this, they should memorize it and start hitting CONs and Baggers over the head with it EVERY DAY and on EVERY NEWS / MEDIA SHOW from now until the elections.

The only thing I would add is that I want some of that Republican logic that believes things with 30+ years of contrary evidence (like "trickle down economics") can still be asserted as fact with amazing smugness...
