Cenk Uygur and "The Young Turks" are coming to Current TV. Great news, right? They're joining "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" as part of Current's primetime lineup, where an independent progressive voice is welcomed.

But if you still don't know where to find Current, here's a list of where we are on these major cable and satellite providers:

* AT&T Uverse: Channel 189
* Comcast: Channel 107
* DirecTV: Channel 358
* Dish Network: Channel 196
* Time Warner Cable: Channel 103 (NY), Channel 142 (LA)
* Verizon FiOS: Channel 192

If you don't see your provider on that list, all you need to know is your zip code. Go to current.com and enter your zip code in the window under "GET CURRENT TV AT HOME" to see if your cable provider carries Current.

But the cable television model is so dated.

If they really want an edge, they should encompass new media, as well - considering that we have smart phones and internet ready devices now, why are they sticking to hoping that some cable company picks them up instead of broadcasting for the Internet, which has no content barriers (similar to what This Week in Tech does)?

My Comcast Current channel is 125. You might have to check directly with your provider in your area.
