Class warfare! So what?
So the President's proposal is class warfare. So what?

The Rich have been conducting a class war against everyone else for decades. Now there is a slight push back. What right do these clowns have to complain?

1. The country put two wars on a credit card
now the bill is due.

So the rich are going to be unpatriotic and not pay for the troops?

5. Oh, I'm sure they'll happily wear a flag pin on their $4000 suits instead.

2. Decades? This has been going on for centuries.
When has it NOT been going on would be a better question.

8. Well we know what happened last time -
FDR got the New Deal passed, and conservative politicians ramped up their anti-Communist efforts, culminating with McCarthyism and the death of the real left in this country.

So we've lost a generation of serious left resistance, taxes have gone from the Eisenhower Era of 90% on the top brackets down to the 30's%, and politicians in both parties continue to union bust.

Something tells me it is going to get worse before it gets better. Solidarity.

10. The thing is
I don't even think that many of the rich are really squealing about it other that much. They paid higher taxes during the Clinton Administration and did just fine.

This is about divide and conquer using fear mongering talking points. "Class warfare" sounds like something everyone should rally against. Letting the Bush tax cuts expire is hardly class warfare.

7. It's not class warfare, it's just a skirmish.
We need much more for it to be real war.

9. It's such a stupid talking point
Hyperbolic fear mongering at its worst.

The French Revolution was real class warfare as was the Russian Revolution.

I am so sick of these stupid talking points. Job creators is another one. We can't tax the job creators. If they aren't creating jobs they aren't "job creators."
