Florida shooting suspect had killed previous wife
Court records show a Florida man who authorities say shot two ministers after killing his wife had pleaded guilty to killing a previous wife, the Associated Press reports.

Jeremiah Fogle, 57, is charged with first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder after Sunday's shootings at the Fogle's home and a nearby church in Lakeland. Authorities say he killed his wife, Theresa, 56, at the couple's home before opening fire at the nearby church.

According to the Highlands County Clerk of Courts, Fogle was sentenced to 10 years' probation in 1987 after pleading guilty to a manslaughter charge.

An affidavit states that Fogle answered the door holding a rifle and showed an Avon Park police officer the body of his wife, Diana. His stepson told investigators he heard Fogle call an ambulance and say he shot someone and wanted to kill himself.

1. 10 years' probation and no prison time for woman-slaughtering his previous wife?

5. Yeah, it's that third time that gets you.
Of course, if one or both of the ministers die, that could "complicate" the situation. ;-)

3. You would think murdering your previous wife would be a red flag, no?

4. Such a nice man and had shown no violent tendencies -- other than murdering his first wife.
And, gee, anyone could make a little mistake like that -- right? ;-)

6. He should have been incarcerated for the first murder.
Those others might still be alive if he was punished for the killing of his first wife.

Seems another Good 'Ol Boy got away with violence against women, only to do it again.
