23. Not that there's anything wrong with hippies.
God knows we need more people who's first response to everything isn't threats of violence, but could you circle the hippy in that picture?

5. WAPO says there are still hundreds there
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/blogpost/post/wall-street-protesters-wont-leave-financial-avenue/2011/09/19/gIQAcp3FfK_blog.html

...snip...

Only a few hundred people remain on the financial avenue, but they say they aren’t leaving, ABC news reports, and they have blankets, food and heaters to sustain them. Police say they won’t remove the protesters.

...snip...

10. They plan to stay indefinitely as Tahrir Sq. was in Egypt.
They've made a "base" our of nearby Zacotti Park a.k.a. Liberty Square. I think this just might catch on and build. Twitter says $2800 in pizza was sent in over the weekend through world-wide donations.

11. I'll say it - it's a flop
A predictable flop. There never was any organization or a plan. Just show up with your own provisions. It's no wonder they only reached about 5% of their goal. Now there's a little over a hundred people left and they're reduced to eating garbage. I wonder where they're going to the bathroom.

"A woman sitting on a bench bearing aluminum trays full of bread and vegetables explained that the food was scavenged from dumpsters or bought from a communal donation pot."

13. The live stream says different.
This morning they were on Wall St. again in time for the opening bell - enough to spill outside the set sidewalk barricades, then went back to the park after 6 were arrested. Now media is picking it up - and CNN Business just tweeted that it sent several reporters over.

The live stream only goes off to recharge batteries, then comes back.

28. "It's a flop," "It will not work." "It's middle class kids..."
I've heard this before... oh and yes IT IS middle Class kids... and your problem is? What? Revolutions are not led by the working class... time to pick up a book...

By the way thank you MM for getting that one under the media curtain and mentioning it during the RM show... for the record Thom Hartman will cover it on RT.

35. That's just kinda true

While it is true that many revolutionary leaders came from the middle class, Fidel as an example, that class in general generally sits on the fence until the last moment and then splits on mostly economic lines.

These folks, unlike those in Tarhir Square, would disperse and recant at the first whiff of grapeshot.

The "live" stream is on a loop from hours ago.
They're getting bullied by the cops and arrested for no reason.
