5. sorry to be a wet blanket but how many white Democrats ARE there in the South?

I'm so proud of them for their vote and for their efforts against all the odds.

But if we are looking to this to bolster our hopes for 2012, it's not much to hope for unless we can get the black and hispanic votes, and of course the independent voters who are disgusted with both parties.

I just wish we had these statistics up against the full picture of how the people are voting in the South. That would give us a better picture of what we are up against...

to compare the numbers to 2004 and 2000 . whether gore and kerry got a higher percentage of the white Dems than Obama did.
