#OurWallStreet - posted that people could call a local pizzeria to feed the protesters
Edited on Sun Sep-18-11 05:13 PM by Coexist
I called about 3 minutes later.. they are inundated with people ordering for the protesters and have stopped taking them. They don't know if they have enough material on hand to make anymore outside of filing the orders they've already taken.

People rock!

26. What?
Because they got pizza now?

This whole Wall Street protest thing is hilarious. Are they still there today?

3. Wow. Now it's a block party with free pizza!
The Wall Street moguls must be quaking in their boots! Pizza! How can they top that?

I don't understand how people can get so worked up over something that is so utterly trivial and meaningless as a couple dozen kids throwing a weekend block party. This is an empty gesture that will change nothing.

It's all part of the circus. It's entertainment for the participants. They are doing to make themselves feel good, not to change anything, and the powers that be know it. That's why they feel safe in ignoring the whole silly charade.

7. My bigger problem with this is that it was poorly organized and the groups representing ant-Wall
Street sentiment is composed of mostly Ron Paul Libertarian types and Lyndon LaRouche has a group out protesting against Wall Street.

This is why this "protest" is a complete and utter joke.

24. So
how many events like this you have organized and how many people showed up?

Addbusters took an initiative and called a meeting, without trying to organize anything. People responded and self-organized. That's how simple it is, and everybody is wellcome, including libertarians who are just as fed up with banksters as all other decent fellows. And to get real, on the streets right wing libertarians are a very small minority compared to left wing libertarians aka anarchists.

25. You sound like you've never been to a protest before.
Those people always come out for rallies. Would you rather not protest Wall Street than accept that you have something in common with people whose political beliefs you disagree with?

8. This may be trivial to you but this is how change starts...it has got
to start somewhere...do you have a better plan...and calling them a couple dozen kids throwing a weekend block party is not helping anything...maybe if more showed some enthusiasm it would turn into something big and worth while...
