Republicans are moronically short-sighted.
They're holding out in order to destroy what social programs we have left. Do they not realize that whatever we're paying out in social programs is a bargain compared to the money we would need to spend if social unrest begins and we have to beef up a police state? Also, with poor medical assistance out there, a true Contagion scenario could occur which will overwhelm us destroying the quality of life for everyone.

There is nothing more that they can win over, without destroying the structure that allows us to boast that we are the greatest country in the world.

The only reasonable conclusion if they persist, is that they are insane.

1. I've tried convincing a few of that.
But as Barney Frank said, it's more productive to talk to a table.

2. Disaster Capitalism.
Republicans wouldn't care if they had to drive down the street in an armored personnel carrier to get to the defensive position they call 'home', just as long as they have a pile of money from selling tear gas and weapons to the local police force.

They are indeed short-sighted.

They think their money will insulate them from all harm.

SEE: Batista; Cuba; Before the revolution.

4. Someone should make a movie to show exactly the kind of America
that they would create.

7. They're far from insane
If you had $10 million invested in Xe (Blackwater's current name), $10 million in Colt Manufacturing, $10 million in FMC and $10 million in ATK--all companies that will benefit if the government has to put down a lot of citizen riots--would you want to prevent social unrest, or cause it to become more unrestful?

8. Insane people are not always shortsighted so you are profiling
them based on their actions and concluding they are crazy. They are NOT crazy, just evil and stupid.

12. True, the Teabaggers did take it 'to the next level'.
IMO, it is insulting to mentally ill people to call Repukes 'crazy'. Repukes are NOT mentally ill, they are EVIL and STUPID...maybe that comes off as crazy to some. Actually to rational people everywhere, that must appear to be insanity. I'm just not ready to say they all have mental illnesses...rather say they are all just evil and stupid.

14. I do believe that something is mentally wrong with Republicans.
But maybe that's because any time one of them take a gun and shoots people, they're immediately declared insane. While everyone else gets labeled a terrorist.

11. I would say they don't deserve the same air I breath
but that does me know good, because they pollute their filth in my neighborhoods and they have their gated communities to hide in.

13. there's lots of money to be made on the way down
every time a government service gets taken away, it enables clever "entrepreneurs" to profit by providing something worse at roughly the same price. Eventually, that first "something worse" can be replaced by a cheaper "something worser" and the next entrepreneur makes even more money. And so on.

15. Republican/Teaparty Anthem
THE REPUBLICAN/TEAPARTY ANTHEM ©

(Sung to the tune of the refrain of Amy Winehouse's "Rehab")

They tried to make us to raise the debt cap, we said "No, No, No."
Now our credit rating's down and we query with a frown, "So? So? So?"
As long as the POTUS flops, we're happy as hogs in slops.
They tried to make us to raise the debt cap, we said, "No, No, No."

They tried to make us pass a jobs bill, we said, "No, no, no."
Yes, and we think if the 'conomy does sink you will know, know, know.
We don't care a whit, if the country goes to shit;
They tried to make us pass a jobs bill, we said, "No, no, no."

We don't care about the poor folks, they can just blow, blow, blow.
If the good Lord really loved them then they wouldn't be so fuckin' po', po', po'.
We've got our own loot in hand, and we just don't give a damn,
We don't care about the poor folks, they can just go, go, go.

If you ain't got health insurance, too bad, that's just tough, tough, tough.
When you get a sickness then you're gonna find it's really rough, rough, rough.
As long as I can pay for mine, I believe I'll do just fine.
If you ain't got health insurance, too bad, that's just tough, tough, tough.

Let's try to make the rich still richer, that would be good, good, good.
The poor have more wealth right now than they really should, should, should.
Minimum wage is way too high, the poor really need to die.
Let's try to make the rich still richer, that would be good, good, good.

REPEAT FIRST VERSE.
