OUTRAGEOUS: FL Elections chief to outsource processing of absentee ballots
Elections chief to outsource processing of absentee ballots

By CARL ORTH | The Suncoast News

Published: September 14, 2011
NEW PORT RICHEY - With estimated savings of up to $50,000 during election years, Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley cast his vote to outsource absentee ballots to a private company.

Absentee Ballot Solutions will take over the chores that Corley's staff had been handling.

Now it's going to be computerized through the contractor, Corley said of processing ballots by mail. Some major Pasco elections can generate 15,000 to 25,000 such ballots.

1. Seriously? Is this The Onion?
No doubt it will be a republican company....along the lines of Diebold.

We are so fucked in this country and the hell of it is...there are quite a few that don't even realize it yet.

5. The USA needs to overhaul its voting systems
NO private firms.

OPEN source.

Complete TRANSPARENCY.

No goons like KATHY NIKOLAUS using their own software/equipment.

Isn't this like basic DEMOCRACY 101 shit?

8. After Obama was elected & we had control of both the HOuse and Senate, we should have forced
corrections. I would love to personally ask John Conyers, who gathered evidence after the '04, why this was never done.

13.  GOP cronies would rather count them for a steep fee.
Watch it'll probably cost more for the private contractor to handle the count & watch who the results will favor.

I'd like to find out more about his contractor. I asked TPM if they would do a little searching.
