1. DU shocks me in its failure to call out these wars every day -- immoral and illegal ...
more than 1 million Iraqi's dead after 20 previous years of bombing them!!

And especially Obama/Dems and these wars -- !!

Needless to say, the bankrupting of our Treasury as Obama takes us into a

second decade of wars!!

We need two strong anti-war candidates to shut down this mess -- this MIC coup!

And two strong candidates to support MEDICARE FOR ALL --

Those two things woudl begin to put America back on her feet --

Then on to addressing the threat of Global Warming which is immediate and not in

some far distant future!

4. and "calling out" on a message board does what?
Most people who care about the immoral wars are suffering from rage burnout at this point. And of course that's what the PTB count on. So where are the strong anti-war candidates to get behind?

They are supposed to be "trying" to get out, but you know how it takes awhile for the govt & military to get out of a failed operation while saving face...it's a moot point whether it would have worked if we had concentrated on Afghanistan from the beginning...

BILLIONS. BILLIONS. BILLIONS. And countless lives lost.

For what?

Ask anybody in this country --Dems, Rethugs, Teabaggers, Libertarians, whatever--NObody can give you an answer about what we are doing militarily in those countries at this point.

5. Well, I've never seen "rage" about the wars expressed here, either --
Edited on Fri Sep-16-11 09:06 PM by defendandprotect

But if there is "burn out" as you suggest -- perhaps it will encourage

those who feel that way to keep on tellin' it -- ?

I think we all need to continue to hear it --

And I don't think the administration responds to silence --

Nor the Democrats ---

We shouldn't have been in either country -- certainly not based on 9/11 --

and certainly not based on any common sense or legalities.

I don't see any "trying to get out" -- rather I see Obama taking us into

the second decade of these wars. But, I would remind us all of Pelosi's

statement the morning after 2006 -- on video -- "Democrats were elected to

end the war!"

What we're doing in these countries at this time is OCCUPYING them -- that's

quite clear.

So where are the strong anti-war candidates to get behind?

Well, certainly Sen. Bernie Sanders would be acceptable to most everyone --

Alan Grayson is well noted -- as are a few others.

I've encouraged the idea -- in my personal writings and e-mails -- that Sen.

Bernie Sanders and others -- Matt Damon -- Ed Schultz -- Thom Hartmann --

Michael Moore -- put together a panel to poll liberal groups on who they would

like to see run. This would be women's groups, unions, legal groups who are

fighting to restore Constituional rights, environmentalists -- any and all

liberal groups --

I haven't had any replies -- but I continue to hope that we will find two candidates

for 2012 --

7. Liberals I know are tired of fighting
IMO many people are beaten down with the wars, the economy, the threats to government support programs, the lack of response from politicians-- despite plenty of input from us.

There's not a lot of hope out there. It seems we cannot effect changes we want to see --hope has all but disappeared. You can put out your anti-war candidates all you want, but they will never win.

I don't know if there's any way to stop this country from going to hell. We just may have to try to endure it.
