I'm Loving It !!! - The Koch Brothers Are Getting Booed On National TV !!!
Ed's doing a show in front of workers in Ohio... he asks a question about supporting Obama...

One of the Labor Reps says STTE, "This isn't about Republican, Democrat or Independent. It's about these workers here today."

Then Ed asks... "What do you think about outside influences in the state?"

The Rep says STTE, "We're gonna take on the Koch Brothers and anyone else..."

And the crowd... WENT NUTS... The underground Koch Brothers/ALEC Axis are now well known.

:bounce:

:woohoo:

1. Yep, and the Koch brothers should take the fall along with these fucked up
governors. I am not sure how this would come about, but please let it happen. As a Union worker for more than 40 years, I am there.

8. David Koch ...
Too bad David Koch was good at crawling. He was a passenger on US Air 1493 which crashed into a prop plane at LAX, killing 21 on the 737 and 12 on the SkyWest 5569 prop plane. David Koch crawled out of the burning 737.

stepping on them, disabling them, to make sure HE got out alive. That IS Darwinism, social and physical.

9. They can literally buy senators, congressmen, entire branches of Govt. And with enough corruption
Possibly even Supreme Court Justices, who knows? The more they purchase the less any of our voices mean anything. They sway entire sections of Govt to not even read bills, just oppose oppose oppose. John Boehner is one of the biggest culprits, he's literally handed out checks to his party on the floor of the House.

Yes, I did post it in its entirety elsewhere. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1947828 It could use a K&R, though, if you're so inclined. :)

One other point I meant to make in these threads. Shannyn Moore was saying on her radio show the other day that she has had conversations with an acquaintance who is a lobbyist in DC for some of these big interests. He has said that Koch Brothers really could give a care about this mine or Alaskan residents -- or Washington's commercial fishermen, for that matter -- but they have zeroed in on Pebble because of the overwhelming amount of local opposition to the project. They feel that if they can ram this project through over the opposition of the citizens of the state, they can ram through all their other projects in the Lower 48. They are using Pebble as a test case to flex their muscle.

This has very far-reaching consequences beyond the immediate and apparent, which is why I'm getting kind of shrill about it. What happens in Alaska doesn't stay in Alaska (e.g., Sarah Palin).

Think total awareness of RW Koch Bros. and their filthy deeds is generally growing!!

47. Boycott the Koch Brothers!
These guys(the Koch Brothers pronounced coke) are BILLIONAIRES
and BOYCOTTING their products probably won't hurt them.

On the other hand, we have TEACHERS, FIREFIGHTERS, POLICEMAN,
VETERANS, DEMOCRATS, INDEPENDENTS, GREENS, WOMAN,UNEMPLOYED,
POOR PEOPLE, MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE, SENIORS, NURSES and anyone
else they're trying to break.

There's a LOT OF US out there, if we only organized against
these THUGS.

Who are we fighting? Republican Governors twenty at most, two
or three hundred in Congress, how many CEO's are out there?
Five hundred big companies equal five hundred men.

They may be in the thousands, but we're in the MILLIONS.

We the people need to ORGANIZE against people who are out to
DESTROY our country for their own GREED AND PROFITS.

So next time you go to the grocery store, CVS, or Walgreen's
BOYCOTT GEORGIA PACIFIC THE Koch Brothers products.

SPREAD THE WORD AND DON'T BUY WHAT THEY SELL. Tell EVERYONE
you know NOT to buy these products.
I have signs in my car windows, for other drivers to see,
listing the Georgia Pacific products to boycott.

These brothers who MADE their MONEY here in America are trying
to BUST UNIONS,THE MIDDLE CLASS, and this country.

MADI GRAS

30. This is not about waiting until next year to get excited.
Or preaching to the choir. A year ago I'm not sure I'd even heard of the Koch brothers. I know 3 months ago I never heard of ALEC. Needless to say I didn't hear about the Kochs or ALEC from corporate media, and I doubt I ever will (which doesn't have me ROFL). What this shows is that awareness of the Koch/ALEC axis is going "viral" despite the corporate media blackout. What we can do is mention the Koch/ALEC axis to friends and family whenever politics comes up.

37. Yes, and that's very good news
The first step is awareness of the problem. One major advantage of getting the Koch name out there, in addition to the fact that they really are a major driving force behind what's going on in the U.S., is that it puts a name and a face, a poster boy, on corporate influence on the political process, which really helps demonstrate how much of a problem it is.

41. Every little bit helps....here's my review of Marcal TP on Amazon....it's gotten the best votes....
It's gotten 12/12 positive votes and is on the top of the reviews (hey, it's a low visibility item!)

Five reasons to buy Marcal recycled TP, April 14, 2011
By tpsbmam - See all my reviews
This review is from: Marcal Small Steps 100% Premium Recycled 2-Ply Embossed Toilet Tissue, 48 Rolls/Carton (6079) (Office Product)

First, I think it's a little rough but agree with another reviewer here, it's the best recycled TP I've used.

Here are my five reasons I first bought it, will continue to buy it, and recommend it:

1) It's recycled. It's not as soft as non-recycled tissue, but you're not killing trees & adding harm to the environment when you buy this. I'll gladly forsake a little softness for those reasons.
2) Marcal products are made in the U.S.A.
3) Marcal is a union shop.
4) Marcal is animal friendly -- no animal testing.
and
5) Marcal isn't owned by the Koch brothers.

I also recommend their other recycled paper products -- this home is now a Marcal home.
