Question re: going to presentations by VP

Never been to one since Joe's been VP, but my daughter stood in line quite awhile to get tickets for his visit to UD tomorrow, and she invited me to go with her :) How great is that (a college freshman that doesn't mind hanging with Mom)! I warned her about security (like she should leave her backpack in her dept. office) and head over to the venue early because of crowds and managing of the traffic pattern. We were wondering if they allow cameras at these things? I figured I'd travel light and leave my purse at the office, just take photo ID, my ticket, and my cell phone. Don't know what to expect, but I understand that his SS are kicking some of the worker bees out of the offices nearby in order to sweep and secure the area.
