determine how the medal looks? Don't mean to criticize. I was just wondering.

2. I disagree.
The Medal of Honor is a beautiful medal, even with the light blue band.

4. I believe the Different Services have slightly different medals
I seem to recall seeing pictures of the medal as it is awarded to members of different branches of the services. I was at a place where a guy won one of them once; you have no idea how much respect I have for the men and women who have been awarded that medal. I despise the military and I despise war, but I know what it takes to get that medal, and it makes me choke up to even think about it.

5. The medal of honor is the only 'neck order' given to US military
This means it is intended to be worn around the neck, and the ribbon contrasts with the uniform. The same color is used on the 'ribbon bar' that is worn when not in full dress uniform, the blue with five white stars, which is also the Medal Of Honor Flag's set up.

9. I heard 'Medal of Honor Rag' on the radio while Googling stuff
one day.....the rest is, if not history, at least useful trivia.

8. The medal is nice, but it's just a piece of medal, what it represents is what should be remembered.
