GOP would rather protect the top 1% than put Americans back to work.

They'll call it class warfare.

So what.

This was the expected response of the GOP. Now they've given him the hammer to beat them with, if he chooses to do so.

He's going to rerun Truman's '48 campaign.

1. We hope so- Run against the DO-NOTHING REPUBLICANS
I sincerely hopes he drops "congress' from his speeches, and puts the blame squarely where it belongs.

3. I expected The Orange Devil to say no.
What I just really can't get over is how crazy evil they are. So willing to just let the country fall off the cliff to try to get a 'big win' for themselves. Wow. Breathtaking.

Its obvious, GOP will not compromise and will insist on having their own way AGAIN!!! CPC and Rep. Jan Schakowsky released a good, common sense plans for job creation this week! Have you read it? http://fb.com/janschakowsky

7. What will happen is the republicans will pass what they like and Obama
will cave and sign it into law.

8. It is a good idea for Obama to campaign against repubs in congress....
He needs ads with lots of "hell no, I'm not raising taxes on the rich" soundbites.

9. no, he needs 50 average people on the street telling the world
why they need this bill.

50 individuals could be grannies, dads, students, sons/daughters/service people, Just regular folks saying they used to have a dream of being in an America that was for everyone and they thought working would get them there. They also have to say what the opposition to it will cause. One at a time, it'll bring it home

I can almost see the ad in my mind.

13. Obama will just take the hammer away. Don't want the republicans to hurt themselves.
Maybe, Obama will just take the hammer and hit HIS OWN head with it. "My bad. I want you to like me. What can I do to make you happy? I would rather appeal to your base than my own."

14. Yep.
This is Obama's campaign - jobs. Right now Republicans in congress are polling at negative 19 or so. Give this 13 months from now - which Obama has said we can't wait for - and then look at the numbers. Obama wins and we control the house and senate.

15. Good luck with that.
Obama wasted his last, best chance to turn the economy around, which was during the debt ceiling debate. Just utterly wasted it, for no apparent reason.

I'm starting to think that 1. He doesn't give a shit about the people who are genuinely suffering and 2. He doesn't give a shit whether or not he gets re-elected.
