Concerning netflix,does anybody know...
they say you can watch on your tv if you have a streaming device, xbox, wii etc. I'm wondering, does it work with an HDMI cord from the laptop to the tv? Thanks in advance.

6. Yes. However, the Roku player is well worth the purchase price (and then some!) .

13. I like the Roku player but I think the internet to TV set up is better.
I hate the search functions on the Roku. And I'm sick of the same movies being "recommended" in several different categories. You can only search for a title if you know the name of the title. The roku is OK if you want to search on the laptop and add stuff to your que but why spend the money if you can interface your PC with TV?

14. Laptop with HDMI is teh awesome...
I use mine all the time to DL movies and watch them. We use rentals through iTunes a lot. Unfortunately, I've got an 80GB / mth bandwidth cap from my ISP, so it's not something we do every night.

Reminder to Netflix users, those movies you DL do count against your bandwidth cap, if you've got one.
