BY ERIC LYTTLE The Other Paper

Ted Williams, the so-called Golden Voice, is ready to start a new life-again. And this time he means it-so much so that he's completed a rehab program, and will appear at the Bluestone tomorrow at 2 p.m. for a preview party and a screening of the Ted's recent interview with Dr. Phil...

On May 4, Williams entered the Origins Recovery Center on South Padre Island in Texas; Kathy enrolled at the Benchmark Recovery Center in Austin.

On Aug. 4-90 days later-Adams and Dr. Phil's television crew were on hand for the graduation.

"They filmed us picking him up at South Padre, then filmed us going to Austin to pick up Kathy, and then we flew to L.A. to film an interview with Dr. Phil," Adams said.

That episode-marking the new beginning for Ted Williams-will air (today) at 3 p.m. on (Dr. Phil show).

While the show is airing, however, Williams and Adams will be at the Bluestone, the church-turned-club that Adams co-owns at 583 E. Broad St.

A preview party, with an appearance from Williams, will begin at 2 p.m., followed by a simulcast of the show. Admission is $10, and all proceeds will benefit Friends of the Homeless - an event that Adams said was Williams' idea.

.............

This is a great story that shows that someone can change their life. I know there will be those who don't even want to give Ted a chance but there are those who believed in him and they were the reason he is where he is right now today! Thank you to all who helped Ted reach this goal and Blessings to him in his journey. Congratulations for this moment Ted. Keep it up!

:applause:

2. I loved this comment from his attorney and agent Bret Adams......
"Ted doing so great. He's a whole new man. He's a different human being," Adams said. "This guy is one of the smartest, funniest people you will ever meet. Tomorrow he'll have people crying, then laughing. He's unbelievable."

Let's hope his future is a bright one and that he can make a difference in the Homeless Communities around the country! Go Ted!

5. I thought Ted Williams was in a freezer somewhere hoping
that the secret to eternal life will be discovered before it's too late. Or maybe it's just his head that's in a freezer. Anyway, what is this about?
