Obama needs to summon up his oratorical skills

We know the man can impressively deliver a speech when he wants to.

Remember his race speech? It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

He needs to ignore Congress.

Congress is made up of mostly brain-dead, paid-for corporate mouth-pieces, anyway.

He needs to speak to the American people and tell them about how stupid the Congress is.

He needs to tell the American people how four-hundred individuals have more money than 260 million Americans combined.

He needs to tell them about how in most advanced countries people get the health care that they need.

He needs to stand on the shoulders of Martin Luther King, and speak the truth, that the era of the "American Dream" is long gone, and tell them how it must be reclaimed.

It would be a great shame if the great opportunity of his election went to waste.

I want him to fight and tell the people how stupid and petty the Republicans are. Stand up and fight the bastards. I think he has it down inside, somewhere. I wish he would find it, and quite playing footsy with the bastards that want to bury him.

I don't want him to address Congress. I want him to talk to the people and tell them to kick ass.

1. He needs to get on the phone and pretend he is Lyndon Johnson.

It is painfully obvious by now Pres. Obama lacks the following: 1) one-on-one people skills 2) an understanding of how to get things done and perhaps 3) the will to see Democratic policies in action.

We would be better of with a candidiate with "fire in the belly".

2. Oh, his speeches are great. It's his ability to crack heads and twist arms which is lacking here.

The other problem with his austerity program is that it limits his leverage with Congress.

If the funds aren't in the budget, then there is no spending with which to leverage the Congress.

Essentially, he has tied his own hands in the matter, which demonstrates a lack of understanding of how Washington really works.

5. Huh? He's been out there speaking this entire week

Taking it to the Republicans. Now it's the Democrats in Congress who are turning on him, whining about bits and pieces of his plan and people here complaining that talk isn't enough.
