America Held Hostage - Day 987
Republicans have refused to help this country recover because Barack Obama is the President of the United States. For almost three years, they have blocked everything the President has proposed, even many Republican ideas. The country is going down the tubes and they don't give a damn. "Put us back in power and we will fix it", they say.

The last time the Republicans pulled this trick was against Harry Truman and they paid a heavy political price. Remember "Dewey Defeats Truman" headline? Remember how Truman defeated the Republican tactics? This appears to be the only option left for this President?

The President, or someone, needs to go full-out assault on these a**holes. Unfortunately, there is so much apathy within the Democratic Party that it will be difficult to wake them from their coma. That is the challenge. How do you stir their emotions to the point that they will go to the polls? I don't know if it is in the President's nature?

One thing for sure, we will continue to be held hostage by these folks until they feel the heat of the voting public. It does not help that they won 2 special elections this week. They have no incentive to change their tactics.

1. The GOP would like to think that the Democratic party is full of apathy.

Did you see the President in NC yesterday? No, his base is still with him. Big time!

Let's nail down NY 9, It was a strategic protest vote to "send a message" to this administration. The previous Democratic mayor endorsed and campaign for the Republican. Yes it is bad, it's not a national trend, however. It's a message that has been received loud and clear.
