The links above do not include CNN, The AP, and Twitter - which I find I can't live without.

So, the question is: Which political links (not on the list above) do ya'll find that you can't live without?

5. I used to come here first every day.
But in 2003 I switched the order of importance between the 3 sites I went to back then and put DU down a notch to 2nd so I could read what was being said on John Kerry's official forum first.
After the election was over I remained with that group for about 6 months reading what was happening and found out over there that the 2004 presidential election had been stolen in Ohio.
Some guy named Kennedy wrote an article for Rolling Stone that pretty much confirmed what I had suspected.
I have relatives that live in Ohio that had been keeping me up to date until then.

Some of the newsfeeds are the same on some of the other sites, so it doesn't matter which site you go to first nowadays.
So, now I start the day at a different site that only has a handful of Democrats still posting at it.
And then end the day here trying to figure out why there aren't more Democrats saying the same thing here.
I avoid the blogger's sites totally these days.

6. pretty much this one and TPM
Some of the ones you listed aren't very dialup friendly, and that's all I can get without moving up the road a block, or paying a couple thousand dollars.

I admit I do check out FR also, to see what's going on in the alternate universe. :(

7. Here are a few:
The Political Carnival

The Gave Us A Republic

Juanita Jean's

On Twitter I follow several people. They post articles from sites that I may or may not have heard of. Twitter is a good way to quickly keep up with a lot of people and issues. I can then follow up with more in depth info if I want to. If somebody or some site I am following is not what I expected or tweets eleventy billion times an hour I'll just unfollow them.

Melissa Harris Perry
Paul Begala
Keith Olberman
Liz Winstead
Richard Engel
Richard Dietsch (He's a sportswriter, but he posts a lot of links about various issues.)
Shannyn Moore

When certain events or issues come up, I will add or drop people who may have more insight at that point.

11. I have a couple of breaking news sites too.
Several of the others you list I check during the day. I follow a lot of people and sites that aren't related to politics.

I'm sorry if you don't think mine aren't 'good.' I was providing my opinion which is what I thought was being asked. I also included a little info about the way I follow people.I apparently ruined your thread with my post. I thought twitter would also be relevant, and I wasn't implying any criticism because they weren't listed.

That's my 2 cents which was about a penny too much I guess.

13. DU is the only one I make a habit of
occasionally I will check Yahoo - top political news stories.

Sometimes I don't even care to check these, sometimes for months at a time too, when I get tired of the politics thing. I'm not quite as into the subject as I used to be, but if a hot political topic like an important election or big news story happens then I will get interested in it again and check DU.
