Judge tells Rep. Walsh he must prove he paid $100,000 in child support
A Cook County judge ruled today that U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh must now prove that he made nearly $100,000 in past child support payments to his ex-wife, Laura, in the pair’s ongoing legal battle over child support for their three children.

“That’s up to him to prove that now,” said Laura Walsh’s attorney, Jack Coladarci. “He’s got to show that he made all those payments.”

The judge is not impressed that he is a congressman!

2. I'm going to go out on a limb and believe that he hasn't paid the child support.

Otherwise, the attorney would had all the necessary documentation to support his claim.

I don't know what it is in Illinois but would believe not too different from state to state. I'm believing that there is a requirement that child support must be withheld from the non-custodial's paycheck and sent to the enforcement agency. If it isn't ordered to be withheld then the non-custodial parent must send it to the enforcement agency so they can keep track of it.

And there is a good chance that the court doesn't have to recognize any payments that he has made directly to the custodial parent.

5. Muahahahahahaha!!!!! Where are those cancelled checks, ya putz?
What a cheapass bastard--he pays SO LITTLE relative to his salary, too, the jerk:
The congressman owes more than $117,437 in child support and interest, according to court papers filed by his ex-wife last December. The congressman earns $174,000 a year as a lawmaker, but takes home less because of a withholding order that deducts $2,134 a month to pay current child support obligations, Coladarci said.
