Poll question: What will be the key driver of other voters in next year's election
Not YOUR key issue but the average, workaday voter. Not to discount what is important to you but let's face fact: we're high-information, actively-involved voters. I'm thinking of those who don't pay attention until the last month of the general election.

2. no worries-- I don't think the voters you've defined are very interested...
...in labor issues, by and large. Although so many folks have been impacted by anti-labor attacks during the last couple of years that I might be wrong about that. I sure hope I'm mistaken!

3. It is hard to say, as I don't believe there is an average, workaday voter.
For some workaday voters, social issues are highest priority.
For others, economic issues are tantamount.
Some are liberal.
Some are conservative.
Some think the environment is the most pressing issue.
Some think the environment is fine and anything to the contrary is guff.
I could go on, but I think my drift is clear.

4. It all comes down to
the money in the voter's pocket. For dome that means taxews, for some that means jobs, for some that means healthcare.

Money - the desire for it and the fear of losing it - explains most human behavior.

You got it!

We keep assuming that the people will eventually "wake up" and see what is being done to them.

It doesn't work that way.

The first thing they do when they wake up is turn on the Tee Vee, and the Tee Vee tells them what to think.
