Huntsman Staffer “Sick And Sad” For The GOP After Debate Behavior
Rick Perry isn’t the only Republican who was “taken aback” by the reaction of some in Monday night’s GOP debate to the idea of letting a sick man without insurance die.

Sarah Reidy, the national director of scheduling for John Huntsman’s presidential campaign has also reacted harshly over this and similar outbursts, posting on her Facebook page that the behavior made her “sick and sad” for the Republican party.

Reidy went on: “For years I have tried to prove that the GOP isn’t the Party of elitist, stereotypical people that lack compassion. When did creativity and growth become secondary to hate? Hearing the debate crowds go crazy over things like executions and the uninsured dying makes me sick and sad for my Party.”

1. I agree with Huntman and his representative.
Someone has to call out the republicans on this and more.

2. As long as Huntsman himself doesn't call his friends out on their behavior
he is no better than the rest of him.

This guy has no credibility, anyway. When he wasn't running for president, he was sending love letters to Obama, gushing over how great the president is. Now, that he's running, he takes it all back? Denies that he ever supported the stimulus or support for the car industry.

He's a charlatan and a fraud, just like the 8 nuts that he's running against.

5. Is this just a voice in the wilderness or are the r's
close to a Welch vs McCarthy moment?

It's 5 minutes and 20 seconds in... "Until this moment I didn't gage the depth of your cruelty and recklessness..."

6. I wonder how the majority of ReThugs feel about this. They seem awfully quiet!
Maybe their quiet because they agree and are afraid to admit it.

7. That oughta give Mr. Dead in the Water a bump
Or maybe not...

Might as well tell the party they're going to hell before you pull the plug. Salvage some dignity.

13. If Dick Cheney were debating and the issue of torture came up
you might have heard people in the same Tea Party crowd yelling encouragement for burning people at the stake or pulling out fingernails and tongues. I think there's probably no upper limit to their sick bloodlust and Ron Paul and Rick Perry were just getting mild reactions compared to what we could have witnessed.

16. Just a prop
If she isn't upset by the whole Repuke party for the last 10 years she's hasn't been paying attention. This message isn't new. What do they think will happen if they get rid of Medicare, SSI and Medicaid? How is one silent all this time. I think they are trying to show some "sanity" in their party, but they still want cuts to happen. Wisconsin should be the reminder of what they say compared to what they do in office.

the truth about the repug core is represented by their desire to let the sick die.

it's there for the world to see and hear.

18. I do believe there are people in the republiCon party
who do not understand how disgusting their fellow Cons are. When you live in the bubble of Fox or, like Huntsman and his associates, live in the bubble of DC you may not be aware of just how hateful the party has become.
