Here's your marching orders:"If you love me, you gotta help me pass this bill."
"We need to build an economy that lasts," he said. "If you love me, you gotta help me pass this bill."

Obama says the bill would put 19,000 construction workers in North Carolina back on the job. The administration hasn't released estimates of how many jobs the bill would create nationwide.

"If you want teachers back in the classroom, pass this bill ... If you want tax cuts for the middle class, pass this bill ...," Obama added.

1. I asked elsewhere and will ask again:
1. What had us so excited a few weeks back that we took down the servers in the Capitol building?

2. Why haven't we done so this time?

3. Story leaves out context
Edited on Wed Sep-14-11 04:26 PM by Superstring
I was at this event.

A guy yelled out "I love you Barack." He said "I love you back" which drew roaring cheers from the audience. He then added in response, clearly unscripted, the line about "but if you love me, help me pass the jobs bill."

I'm already seeing this line being touted around as indication of his arrogance or desperation, which would not be the case if the full context was provided.
