CONNED N.Y. JEWS is a BAD sign for Democrats AND America.
http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/timstanley/100104998/even-new-yorks-jewish-democrats-have-rejected-barack-obama/

Expect MORE POVERTY & EVEN FURTHER WIDENING BETWEEN THE MIDDLE CLASS & POOR AND THE UBER-RICH, if we can't turn it around soon.

35. It's a bigger problem that that...
Now that the seat has been lost they will redistrict away a DIFFERENT Democratic seat in hopes of not only retaining the Wiener seat but grabbing off yet another one!

RICH & PROTECT S.S. & MEDICARE with more vigor.

Sorry if I P.O'ed. ANY1 over our losing ANY election.

27. LOL Indeed. You said that without any sense of irony. You don't seem to
posses what we in the business call self awareness. Not to mention that you're posting horse shit from irrational bigots while pretending to be some kind of liberal. Some reading comprehension would do you some good. When I criticize Obama I do it from the left. I have no need to use right wing bigots to make my points for me. What's next, articles by Pat Buchanan?

34. Maybe U are right:
DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz played down the defeat as referendum on President Obama by telling reporters, "In this district, there is a large number of people who went to the polls tonight who didn't support the president to begin with and don't support Democrats — and it's nothing more than that," she said.

The district consists many Jewish and conservative-leaning voters.

10. U aRe SO TRANSparent it'S NOT EVen FUNny: Jennifer Rubin
Slate blogger David Weigel called Rubin "one of the right’s most prolific online political writers".<1> The Commentary editor John Podhoretz writes that Rubin "labored daily from her home in suburban Virginia <...> never missing a news story, never missing an op-ed column, reading everything and digesting everything and commenting on everything. She is a phenomenon, especially considering that for the first two decades of her working life, she was not a writer or a journalist but a lawyer specializing in labor issues <..>".<2> In welcoming remarks, The Washington Post editorial page editor Fred Hiatt writes that "her provocative writing has become 'must read' material for news and policy makers and avid political watchers."<3>

Rubin's political views are widely characterized as conservative<4> and neoconservative.<5> She was also called a supporter of Tea Party movement,<6> She opposed Barack Obama on multiple occasions, calling him “the most anti-Israel U.S. president (ever),”<7> and writing that “Obama isn’t moderate, doesn’t like the free market, and isn’t interested in waging a robust war on Islamic fundamentalists.”<8> Rubin consistently supports Israel, and has been a harsh critic of Hamas and of the PLO leadership.<9><10><11><12><13>

Rubin drew criticism in the wake of the 2011 Norway attacks after she published a blog post suggesting incorrectly that the attacks were carried out by Islamic jihadists.<14> Other bloggers, notably Jeffrey Goldberg have defended Rubin.<15>

"His posturing on the issue of a “viable Palestinian state” has undermined faith in his commitment to Israel’s existence. "

"I spent Yom Kippur 2010 with the family of a Jewish chiropractor in Queens. They asked me at the dinner table what I was working on and, with some trepidation, I said I was writing a biography of Right-wing pundit Pat Buchanan. To my surprise, they were thrilled. “He’s so right on so many things,” said my host. “But dad,” said his daughter, “Pat Buchanan hates Israel!” My host shrugged. “Nobody’s perfect,” he sighed."

28. Please note that Tim Stanley is a writer for the Torygraph
This has always been a right-wing Conservative paper, hence its nickname, but in the last few years has also developed a religious-right tone, more akin to Republicans than mainstream British Tories. Christian Right, but prepared to use Jews as pawns. I doubt *very* much that New York Jews have suddenly become hard-religious-right.

By-elections often give unrepresentative results because of low turnout; and I doubt that Weiner' sending people his penis photos helped very much.

36. Not Murdoch in this case; a nasty pair of tax exiles called the Barclay Brothers
Edited on Fri Sep-16-11 04:47 AM by LeftishBrit
It was formerly owned by the crook Conrad Black. A nasty RW paper then; even worse now. Used to be at least reliable for news reporting, though the opinion pieces were always terrible; but now it's not even trustworthy for reporting.
