1. Who do you think will get the nomination?
I agree about Romney, BTW...

There's no fire in the man.

3. After watching the debate tonight I so hope it will be Perry. He's not that sharp. Obama will

trounce him and his teaparty policies. I was really only worried about Romney but after watching him I am no more. I think Obama will definitely win. Just the fact that only 5.4 million Americans tuned into watch last Wednesday's GOP debate, while 31 million watched Obama's speech shows that people want reality instead of the GOP airfairy bullshit.

2. To Obama? Yes
I think he will get the nomination. Perry will wither like bachmann. Romney has the ground game to the nomination. McCain never had a pop. Bush popped his last remaining brain cells coked out and driving drunk.

6. Romney's being a Mormon is a roadblock
that not even Rove and Co. can remove. There are people who still insist that Obama is a secret Muslim.

7. I'm not so sure
Mormonism is kinda/sorta Judeo-Christian if you tilt your head a bit. The Fundies know Mormons aren't like Baptists, but they really don't know why. They know the Mormons talk about Jesus some, so they can't be all that bad in their minds. No, I don't think Romney's problem is religion. I think Romney's problem is the baggers still aren't entirely sure that he isn't a Democrat down deep. And the whole Romneycare thing is the nail in his coffin.

4. Didn't watch it but I tend to agree about his pop
He's better than some candidates I've seen, though not nearly as good as most who have actually become president. George HW Bush is probably the least 'poppy' (ha, get it?) candidate in recent memory to win, but of course he had his pedigree as vice to fall back on.

But I also think that Perry won't make it across the finish line (too many vulnerabilities) and the nomination will go to the Mittster. Beating Obama isn't entirely out of the question and it will probably be closer than 2008, but I'd say his chances in the general are significantly below 50 percent. He would definitely need help
