Another day, another round of racial attacks on “civil,” “tolerant” and “America-loving” Fox Nation. Saturday's target? Michelle Obama. Fox Nation’s “Pic of the Day” Saturday (9/10/11) was a photo of her playing tennis at the U.S. Open as part of her campaign to fight childhood obesity. In response, the readers erupted with bigoted comments about her looks. Even more disgusting was that one person talked about shooting her – and four people liked the comment.

I mentioned that it happens here. You just don't see it very much because the mods work fast when a post is alerted on. I don't post on Fox's website nor do I read it, so I really can't say how common that type of thing is there and how it compares to DU. But I do post here and I do read this site everyday and while I don't see violent rhetoric all that often, I do see it from time to time and that's accounting for the fact that such posts don't last very long.

Surely you're aware of this . . .

IDK about Fox Nation because the only time I see their posts is when they surface on News Hounds, but I do look in on Freeperville now and again and it's pretty easy to find all kinds of hateful violent threats against the first family. I suppose the only difference is that their mods tend to leave them up and DU mods are more diligent. Or it's possible that they are just more violent. I guess there's no real way to know one way or the other.
