Perry: 'I Couldn't Get Elected Dog Catcher In California'
During an interview with Joe Scarborough last November while promoting his book, Fed Up!, Texas Gov. Rick Perry was candid about his chances in California. Responding to a question about the success moderate GOP candidates have had in the state, Perry replied that it didn’t bother him because, after all, ‘I couldn’t get elected dog catcher in California.’

In another gem from the same interview, he also referred to ‘one of those little states up there’ after confusing Vermont and New Hampshire. Scarborough’s response? ‘What a Texan!’

3. When he says he "prays for Obama everyday" that should not be taken seriously
Anytime white evangelicals say they are praying for Obama, or for that matter Bill Clinton back in the 1990's, it is qualitatively different than the way they prayed for George W. Bush.

When they "pray" for Obama or Clinton, it drips with condescension and little political cheap shots along the way. They pray for them to change their positions on abortion or school prayer and to make savage war on the Muslims. It's not real prayer that should be taken seriously.

When they prayed for Bush, they pray for Bush to win and succeed. They pray for him to accomplish all of his goals as president.

6. True, not likely if it weren't for a corruptable e-voting technology
and an equally corrupt system of which it is a symptom.

9. in an actual popular vote,
he'd get *some* votes in California, just like Obama would get *some* votes in Texas. Instead, huge portions of the electorate will be ignored entirely.
