The Story Of The Ill-Informed Pastor

...Was at the store an hour ago to pick up some baker potatoes and salad makin's to make a high fiber lunch. Going through the check out line a fairly well known Pastor was two spots in front of me just sing up praises of GOD HAS BLESSED AMERICA repeated several times while slowing down the line which was wanting to get their biz done and be on the way.

After I had enough I spoke up and said Pastor how has God Blessed America recently.....With high unemployment?....with the divide between the upper class becoming as wide as the Grand Canyon???...With CEO of our major corporations robbing their company coffers by giving themselves big bonuses...How about home foreclosures and more children going hungry everyday...He shut his trap got checked out and quickly walked out the door...

I spoke up and said that is just the tip of the problem,God blessings on a country would not look like those points I just made from a biblical point of view.....The store manager came over and saw it was me and said..OH! you again, shook his head and left...

Ya just got to wake em up sometimes.

1. Many Americans fall for the spew of these paster types who say things
of utter crap, and often none speak up to them, as often they are dominate authoritative males. Thanks for putting this butt-head in his place. I'm fed up with these individuals invoking the god-word and then proceeding like they are on a mission from heaven (often hell).

2. Never, ever, ever.
Never let the bullshit go unchallenged. It's a good way to get people thinking.

4. Preachers for the most part do not even understand how it is out here.
Their congregations finance them totally and allow too many of them to walk all over them. One of them was bitching about having to pay more taxes to pay for health care for people - my father asked him why he expected the congregation to provide him and his family with health care. It is just another example of the "I've got mine..." attitude.

8. Well done.

It's the way these people should be dealt with; public shaming. The internet has insulated people from that and a the phenomenon of 'selective belief' has exploded because of it.

Now, wonder when the 'penthouse pests' are going to get here.
