Perry skips press conference about Texas fires without notice - facing mounting criticism
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2011/09/11/2011-09-11_rick_perry_skips_press_conference_about_texas_wildfires_without_notice.html

Rick Perry unexpectedly skipped a visit to a damaged area of Texas on Saturday, as criticism of his handling and occasional tone deafness surrounding the dangerous blaze continues to grow.

--------------

He then was widely criticized after a member of his fundraising team commented that fundraising was "going like wildfire" – a term many considered tone deaf in wake of recent events.

The fire is the most destructive in state history, according to the Texas Tribune.

3. It's really interesting
to see this idiot self-destruct so quickly. I know some people have said that he's a lot like GWB only without the brains but until recently I didn't believe it.

He almost had this thing in the bag, all he had to do was show up at some fire related stuff and pretend to give a shit and he probably would have gotten away with it.
