If you want to remember those who died,
work for peace and social justice at home and abroad.

If you want to support our service men and women, bring them home now and provide a new GI Bill that proves jobs, job training and medical care.

If you want to honor the first responders, support their right - and the rights of all men and women, and particularly those working for the common good - to collective bargaining.

When you remember 9 11, also remember 9 11 in Chile when the United States flew the planes.

3. While it is not evident at DU,
there seems to be a pretty big disconnect between the rhetoric and the actions. For example, my wife works in a community that lost a number of people( she is at a memorial today - I am away) for some first responders. She taught their kids. This same community is also one that is cutting fire and police and teacher budgets and opposed to collective. We say support the troops, but they are now gaming the pension system for veterans and trying to move it into a privatized system. We still maintain the same policies - from Quatamala and Iran to Chile to now. That's all, just a statement.

6. I know, but it should never be framed as an either or thing, that's insulting.

7. Hi, I just sent you
a pm, so, please take this comment in the spirit in which it is meant.
My statement was not either/or so much as "if this, then that."
:hi:

4. Thank you. I never saw that.
More and more, it is becoming obvious that we are being shocked by the corporatists.
