4. I'm at work; its just on because the lobby has to have some sort of news on in the AM
and of course it looks good for the business to have on and appear all Patriotic, etc for today. I had a couple check out today from the hotel. I'm in FL. They live in FL. The wife was wearing a 9/11 remember shirt and the husband was wearing a shirt that said, "There's nothing that a gloch can't fix" or something along those lines...with the visual picture of the gun all big and included. I was completely offended at the BS crap these two were walking around with. It just offends one's senses of normal... Violence with more violence. (They looked like the type that end up on tv with TeaBags hanging from their hats; screaming about socialism and Govt keeping hands off their social security and medicare.

Amen. There is NO need to remind anyone of what happened.

IMO, the opening of any memorial should have been a quiet semi-private matter. Those who lost loved ones first and then after that, anyone of the public who wished to pay respects.

This has become a fucking circus and it sickens me to see all the assholes who are hyping this.

:puke:

I honor those that died as victims and those that died trying to save them. But I won't be watching the coverage, just a few glimpaws. I'll check the services and look at the memorial sites. I'll remember because it was vivid to me; my husband was working on the east coast while I was in Texas with the kids. I worried about how he would get home.

But I won't be able to bring myself to watch any replays of video from that day. It's too painful.

I hope the families are healing and finding at least a modicum of peace.
