1. I expect the big union leaders to look out after themselves
Whatever makes the most union dues for them is OK with them, no matter what other harm it does the country. I'm specifically talking about the undermining of Social Security when I make that remark.

12. That's it. That's why workers should ALWAYS be
wary and watchful of the labor aristocracy. Sometimes they make militant noises when the membership forces their hand, but ultimately they're on the side of the system.

So short answer to the OP, nope not a bit "betrayed". I actually expected it.

3. One nice aspect of not maintaining lists of spotless heroes and irredeemable villains:
You don't have to feel betrayed by disagreement with those you've agreed with. You also don't have hyperbolic vituperation to walk back when you agree with those you've disagreed with.

Labor would be thrilled if Obama even glanced in their direction. This is called "positive reinforcement", something you've probably never heard of.
